I strongly suggest you play Mike Haye's "Classic Warlord," or "Apocalypse" released by Games Workshop. This game envisions nuclear war, and quite the opposite of peace. Diplomacy is based upon who destroys less, than of more. Consider it a natural sequel to Risk.

You might also like Robert J. Simpson's game, "Supremacy."

Thanks for the tip! I'd never heard of those; I'll have to check them out.

I still have my box set of this. Once upon a time i played it with my brothers, but they are on team globohomo now. Great article! I'm with you on that second to last paragraph.

That’s too bad about your brothers; Team Globohomo is such a craven choice. It’s good that you still have your boxed set—I feel like those old games are a fast-diminishing connection to a time when people could still imagine a more interesting and hopeful future. Hang on to it!

Great piece. I was brought here by John Carter. It’s nice to see someone else who shares my weird interests in the Nouvelle Droite and the history of tabletop gaming.

Glad you liked it! John Carter’s doing some great work promoting smaller Substacks, and I can’t thank him enough.

It’s good to find a fellow Nouvelle Droite enthusiast and tabletop gaming enjoyer—we’re a rare breed, so we’ve got to stick together.
